PDE Photography is owned by San Francisco-based Peter Ehrlich, who has been doing quality photography since 1970. His subjects include streetcars (called trolley cars in some locations), light rail and subway lines, buses and mainline railroading. In addition to San Francisco, Peter has documented transportation subjects all across the United States and Canada, several European countries, Australia and Beijing, China.
The images contained on PDE Photography Photo CDs (and DVDs in the future) are digitally produced using Macintosh and Adobe Systems technologies. Slides are scanned and digitalized using a Nikon slide scanner.
Peter has used these cameras used over the years: Voigtlander rangefinder; Mamiya-Sekor SLR; Minolta X-700; Canon Eos 650; Minolta X7000i; Nikon F3; Nikon F100; Olympus D600 digital; and Nikon D100 digital.
